I like to have the stereo control off (always) in the Music profile. But when I switch to the Movie profile and back to Music the stereo control is set to “on”. Why can’t it remember that I had it off?
Any idea why it shows 59 as the output for desktop speakers and headphones?
After each update mine says 72
You are correct. If the volume was 50% when DPS was quit, it should be 50% when you start again. However, we are now finding some computers are not doing this properly when shutting down and booting the computer. We are looking into the issue now and will have a fix for the next update.
Has this been fixed?
I have uninstalled v2.x because this was really bothersome.
I’m seeing this notification annoyance also.
I only had time to watch a video (for work). The audio sync in VLC is good now.
I’ll play around with it more tomorrow.
BTW, I watched this particular movie file a few weeks prior with v1.x and did not see this issue.
So far I have watched 3 movies with v2 and have this issue with all three.
I have to click Re-sync audio buffers about every 10-15 minutes.
Hmmmm. That shouldn’t happen! Can you tell me how you were watching the movie? Netflix? iTunes? We want to re-create the issue.
I am using the latest version of VLC.
I have come across something that was not an issue in v1.x
When watching a movie the audio slowly ends up out of sync.
About 15 min into the movie I can see this issue. I have to click Re-sync audio buffers about every 10-15 minutes.
My laptop is a MBP 15″ Retina (2014)
Well, so far so good. I uninstalled version 1 rebooted and installed version 2.
All settings seem to stick after reboot. Sound quality is just as good as version 1.
Couple of things:
When I plugged in my headphones (JLAB BOMBORA) a window popped up asking me what to do. I chose switch to headphone listening mode but that never happened. It was still on Desktop mode. Might want to look into that.
Also, the window that popped up asking was delayed by close to 8 seconds. Meaning when I plugged in my headphones the window took about 8 seconds before it informed me of my options. I feel like it should be instantaneous.
Another thing is that all Mac OS X windows can be dragged around by the title bar. The DPS preferences window cannot. It can be dragged from anywhere in the body of the window but not the title bar. This is backwards. It would be nice for it to work like all other apps and maybe a setting to disable “always on top”?
I’m going to keep playing around with it and hopefully it works well with my system.
Just signed up. Looking forward to this. Thanks
OK, thanks for confirming that.
One more thing that I’m noticing. If I decrease the bass or treble it to gets reset after reboot. Maybe for this to stick is a Pro feature?
When DPS quits
Make volume of output device currently selected in DPS equal to DPS driver.
Make said output device default playback device.
Quit DPS application.
I’m not sure that the above is happening.
If I read this correctly.
If the DPS driver is at 50% then when quitting it should change the system device to 50% upon quitting correct?
Why does the volume reset to 100% every reboot. this is very annoying
