Membera13 is working well here …. apart from what has been reported here is something i have found.

The cpu usage remains high till i close the drop down menu

MemberThe latest version is working fine here also 🙂
Also i have to say that fluctuating RAM usage of DPS while not playing a media is not normal as it should remain stable atleast even if it uses high RAM. I have used another .Net application Binisoft Windows Firewall Control and the RAM remains stable around 50-60 MB without fluctuation…..
the developer of the product says
Our products use the .NET framework. NET applications tend to have a larger memory footprint than native unmanaged applications. This is because the framework loads any required assemblies in memory. The memory usage reported by Task Manager is not very accurate because from these loaded .NET assemblies, some of them might be shared between multiple applications, but in Windows they appear and are counted for each application separately. For a .NET application written in WPF, the memory consumption is very standard. This is not so important. CPU usage is important because it can slow down the computer. The memory is garbage collected by the .NET framework when it is the right time, and because the GC is called by the framework, multiple instances of the same objects can reside in memory until they are garbage collected. One thing is sure: you will not run out of memory because of Windows Firewall Control.

MemberAnother interesting thing i noticed today
suppose If i haven’t brought the GUI to the front (from the starting of system) and then i try to turn off and then turn back on by right clicking the tray icon it shows that DPS is not activated http://s22.postimg.org/6n41gajk1/DPS.png but once i open the GUI and close it(not Quit) everything’s back to normal and i can change on and off using right clicking the tray icon

MemberAs of now i am reverting back to a10….
riyaz
MemberYes a10 was working fine and i have reported the findings i had with a10 in previous posts. I first uninstalled using the regular uninstaller but the issue still persisted thats why i used Revo uninstaller the second time. As you can see another person with Windows 8 64 bit reported the same issue with this release i think its not about my system…. maybe its a 64 bit issue??
riyaz
MemberBut .NET 4.5 comes preinstalled with Windows 8.1 so i don’t think that’s the issue
riyaz
MemberJust uninstalled completely using Revo and removed the remnants and reinstalled its still crashing on my Windows 8.1 Update 64Bit
riyaz
MemberEven after a system restart DPS was crashing so i completely uninstalled it and then reinstalled still DPS2.0EXE is crashing

MemberInstalled the latest version over the previous one but after installation is over i can’t open DPS its crashing when i open it. i can see in the event veiwer
