    Please feel free to open a support ticket and I can help you there. The driver not found error can be caused by a number of factors. Do you have any audio programs running in the background while you are trying to install DPS? Please check your hidden icons area to verify that there is nothing running there. (This area is indicated by a ^ icon, found down in the system tray, near the clock.) Please also check in Device Manager, in “Sound, Video and Game Controllers” to make sure that the DPS virtual driver is installed properly, it may be necessary to uninstall it, then restart your computer and reinstall DPS.     We aware of an issue where some users lose sound when updating their installation of DPS on MacOS 10.14.6 and 10.15.6. My engineering team is aware of this problem and they are working on a solution.
    Here is a link to DPS for Mac version 2.2.3.1 if you could please try rolling back to that version.

    First, please uninstall DPS using the uninstaller program found in your Applications -> Bongiovi DPS folder then restart your machine. Then please install the older version and let me know the result.

    If you are experiencing a “No sound issue” after updating DPS to 2.2.4.2, please roll your installation back to a previous working version:

    Rollback your installation of DPS for Mac to version 2.2.3.1.

    The engineering team is aware of the looping and no sound issue that some users are experiencing in MacOS 10.14.6 and 10.15.6. We are hoping to resolve the problem in an upcoming update.

    Have you tried the kext/unload, kext/load solution described above?

    Another option is to rollback your installation of DPS for Mac to version 2.2.3.1.

    First, please uninstall DPS using the uninstaller program found in your Applications -> Bongiovi DPS folder then restart your machine. Then please install the older version and let me know the result. Please feel free to email me directly at drice@bmtdps.com

    Jwise – What is your support ticket number?

    If you are seeing the “No sound after updating” issue, please try this solution:

    1.) Quit DPS
    2.) Open Terminal and run the following commands:

    sudo kextunload /Library/Extensions/DPSReflector.kext/
    sudo kextload /Library/Extensions/DPSReflector.kext/

    Note: You may need to do the first command twice (might fail the first time).

    Please let me know the result of this.

    JWise – What is your support ticket number? Is it an open ticket?

    We are aware of some issues arising with DPS in MacOS 10.15.6. Specifically I have seen a few reports of crash issues when connecting a new Bluetooth device, as well as a few reports of audio looping in youtube and Apple music. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at drice@bmtdps.com and we can try to find a resolution to your DPS-related audio problem.

    In the ““The selected device has no sound outputs” issue, I would start by uninstalling/restarting/reinstalling. Make sure that the DPS Kext has been Allowed in System Preferences -> Security and Provacy -> General Tab. Then, verifying that DPS has microphone permission in System Preferences -> Security and Provacy -> Privacy Tab.

    Thank you for reporting this issue. We are in the process of testing, identifying the source of the problem. We have not yet been able to reproduce the issue on our test machines. However, my engineering staff are aware of this report and are researching to try to find a possible cause and a solution.

    I will add the Oontz Angle 3 to our acquisition list. We create every profile by hand/ear which means we must have that particular piece of hardware on our bench to tune. When this device is made available to us we will create a custom profile for it.

    Try the Jawbone Jambox profile, they are a somewhat similar device. My method is to put on some music and scroll through the profiles until I find one that sounds good to me.

    Have you tried the various City and other device profiles? We noticed there is a lot of overlap in the profile settings for many devices. Odds are the perfect profile is right there waiting for you to select it. You know you have the right profile when your favorite songs “light up”. Just trust your ears and how you feel when you listen to your media.

    Thank you for your report. This is a system limitation with MacOS. When your Mac sleeps, it drops the connection to the DisplayPort, this in turn causes DPS to default back to built-in audio.

    I will pass this along to my engineering team to check if there is a way we can somehow “remember” when DisplayPort is the desired output device and have that selection persist after MacOS drops the displayport connection.

    We have found a solution to this issue and plan to release a fix in an upcoming update. IN the meantime we do have a workaround. Please open a support ticket or feel free to email me directly at drice@bmtdps.com for instructions on how to resolve the “Dot Net Framework error.”

    Here is a link to an installer with a possible fix for the Dot Net Framework error issue. Please uninstall your current version, restart your system then install this bug-fix candidate version and let us know the result of this:

    Please be sure that you are running the most current version of Bongiovi DPS for Windows before applying the patch. The most current version is v2.2.2.2. You can download it here: https://bongiovidps.com/download/ I would recommend uninstalling your current version of DPS using the Windows add/remove programs function, restarting your computer, then installing the most current version. Then please apply the patch and let us know how it went.
