You’re welcome and good luck !!
Boom 3D developer is offering a St. Patrick’s Day sale that ends soon.
On December 29 I was charged for my Bongiovi DPS subscription renewal order but I will have to cancel my recurring subscription as since April 2020 Bongiovi DPS no longer worked for me.
I now have Big Sur v.11.2.3 but DPS v.18.104.22.168 still has not functioned properly so I was forced to try the Boom 3D for Mac trial version 1.3.11 and I will purchase it today as it works flawlessly and provides many adjustments and great sound.
Update, the best way for me to test DPS is to allow my Apple Music v.22.214.171.124 Songs library of 982 songs to play through the list all day every day to see if DPS acts up. I recently noticed that I lost sound but saw that somehow DPS was “Turned Off” and that was the issue. To be fair, DPS works most of the time and for several days now it has been working perfectly.
So, better news than I reported on February 11 !!
I have Big Sur v.11.2.1 now and DPS v.126.96.36.199 still does not function properly.
I will be upgrading from macOS Catalina v.10.15.7 to Big Sur v.11.1 tomorrow and will watch how DPS v.188.8.131.52 functions.
Michel, Thanks and same to you.
After installing v.184.108.40.206 on December 4 I still had problems but I kept trying and for several days now I’ve had no problems so…
Hopefully Big Sur will make the difference.
Oh well, same problem.
I am still up-to-date with the macOS Catalina v.10.15.7 (19H15) Supplemental Update installed.
I was using DPS v.220.127.116.11 and just received an alert that the DPS v.18.104.22.168 update was available so I installed it and I will see how it works.
I tried again; entered my login password and this is what I get:
Last login: Thu Aug 27 21:18:35 on ttys000
The default interactive shell is now zsh.
To update your account to use zsh, please run
chsh -s /bin/zsh.

MacBook-Pro-2019:~ myname$ sudo kextunload /Library/Extensions/DPSReflector.kext/
Sorry, try again.
Password:white key in grey box
I tried to use the “kext/unload, kext/load” solution described above but after I hit “return” on my keyboard I get “Password:[white key symbol in grey box]” and then I cannot enter my Login password because there is no cursor. If I try to just type it in nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong?
In Catalina v.10.15.6, this suggestion is not possible: “Make sure that the DPS Kext has been Allowed in System Preferences -> Security and Provacy -> General Tab.” I do not see any options here to “Allow” anything. Is there a typo in the suggestion above?
No, I have not tried the “text/unload…” solution but I will. I am not real familiar with Terminal but your instructions look simple enough. If necessary I will try to rollback the version. Thank you.
