KeymasterThe issue you are having with the skin is the new eqBall png is not in the skins folder. Did you try the new Xparent skin I put in the Goodies folder? You know you are using the new skin if it defaults to a purple background.
I will investigate the audio breakups with iTunes. 2.0 and 1.2.3 use the same driver so that could be the culprit if the same issues arises in both versions.

MemberHi Joey:
Yes, I did not download the file and just fixed it. Everything’s working fine and the folder is Xparent2. I’ve tried different profiles and everything’s looking (sounding) good.

MemberOne thing I hadn’t noticed before. When I turn on stereo controls, it has a big influence on the sound. I’m using the Phoenix profile for speakers and turning on stereo mode loses detail and makes it very bass heavy. Is this deliberate or possibly a bug?

MemberI know I’m comparing apples to oranges. I mentioned audio drop outs in iTunes with both DPS 1.2.3 and 2.0, so I’ve been listening to the same songs on my iPhone and there’s never been a drop out.
I currently have DPS 1.5 for iOS and it has annoying bugs. Both the album graphics and the volume slider keep disappearing. I mentioned this way back when it was released in February of this year I think. Is there some way I can find DPS 1.4.7 and reinstall it? I’ve looked everywhere but can’t find it.

ParticipantVersion 2.0.0a10 – All Full-OK! Normal install & run, work on Windows 7 sp1 x86, and on widows 8.1 x64
Through WASAPI / HDMI (nvidia)
then tell me what is better to opt for a configuration profile? monitor LG – HDMI> Nvidia> speakers Genius 2.1
2? Realtek HDA 5.1> speakers Genius 2.1
3? Bluetooth Headphones4? why virtual sound card does not work through the conclusion WASAPI Exclusive (event & push),
and has a lower audio settings audio output 16bit and not 24bit? 44100khz and not 48000 >>> khz?

ParticipantP.S: Version 2.0.0a10 – Full-OK! Normal work but not after changing the skin to XParent2_Skin, then all application crashes and closes itself with an error after its application skin

Please see the previous posts by Joey. Did you download and install the new Xparent2? I forgot to do it and also had a crash until I fixed it. Xparent2 is working fine for me.

KeymasterJim,
To address your iOS 1.5 issue. Does the volume slider only disappear in album art view mode? We had identified this a long time ago. No real update on whether we are fixing this or just doing a new version moving forward. Let me know.
Thanks!

MemberHi Joseph:
Not sure what art view mode means. When I’m playing music, I’m talking about the screen you get when DPS is running on the equivalent of a desktop. The graphics keep disappearing and so does the volume slider near the bottom. If I lock the phone and look at the screen after pressing home, everything is OK. The graphics are always there, as is the volume slider up at the top of the screen. If I unlock the phone, the graphics and volume slider are still missing.
I don’t want to hijack Joey’s thread, but I also asked a question way back when about changing the repeat and shuffle controls to words. As a user, I find that totally inconsistent with your goal of standardizing things across platforms. I personally don’t like it and couldn’t understand the purpose of doing it. I hope it’s going to be changed in the next iOS release, which I assume won’t come along until sometime after iOS 8 comes out.
Any thoughts on how I can go back to the release before 1.5? If not, I may have to see if I can find it in some old backups.
UPDATE: Found DPS 1.4.7 on a backup and reinstalled it.

ParticipantIt’s wonderful if two parts of sound service are one as SRS or DFX application 😀
Because it’s make me confused when i wanna turn volume up/downSeptember 16, 2014 at 6:54 am #63911jimboden
Memberhoangngoc501:
From left to right, those mixer sliders are for your sound device volume and DPS volume, which are two separate settings. That’s just Windows way of displaying them as a quick way to see and adjust them without opening playback devices. If you click on Mixer at the bottom, you can also control your sound device and DPS volume “mixes”. If you adjust the sliders, you’ll see that one affects the other.

Keymasterhoangngoc501,
I was really busy in the lab yesterday so I just sent out your link. Let us know if you have any issues.
Regarding the two volume controls – The Digital Power Station slider represents the sound going INTO the DPS processing. The other slider represents the sound coming OUT of DPS processing and going to your speakers.
Usually your keyboard volume will only change Digital Power Station. But you can adjust either slider for good effect. Notice how the sound is slightly different when you turn down one or the other.

MemberHi Joey:
So far, everything’s working fine for 2.0 and I’m using it all the time. My only issues are the mystery audio drop outs, which may be an iTunes problem and my question about the audio changing when I turn stereo controls on. I’m online gaming a lot and still have no audio issues there. I also turned DPS off when I got drop outs in iTunes and they were still there if that helps. So far, there’s only one profile per speaker, etc. I know you will eventually provide separate speaker and headphone profiles for music and movies. What setting do we get with the single profiles that we’re using right now?
