KeymasterHey folks,
Sorry this issue slipped by us! Everything has been pretty hectic with CES and all.
Download the fixed version here
Now that CES is behind us DPS 2.1 (FULL version) is on the front burner. It will be ready for both Windows and OSX very soon.

ParticipantThis really sounds amazing but unfortunately I have to deal with some clicking/popping/audio glitches from time to time and I can’t figure out the cause. I’ve tried everything on the Windows FAQ section on the Bongiovi site and nothing fixes it. I’ve seen others mentioning this problem so I’m not the only one.
The thing is, even though I despise these clicking/popping sounds and they definitely ruin the experience, I can still tolerate it because they appear rarely, but they always eventually appear. For example, I can go a full hour hearing music nonstop and everything works fine and then bam!, here they are. Sometimes they might appear right away. It’s also worth mentioning that when they appear, they appear for good….For example, as soon as the first click presents itself, three seconds later another one appears, four seconds later another one… Also, when the clicking appears sometimes it sounds like the sound lags a little, but it’s so minor that you only notice it if you’re really paying attention.
Hope I’ve mentioned everything as I experience it to hopefully help identify the problem. So, if anyone has any advice to help fix this problem I would be really grateful because I really appreciate this technology.
Many thanks and keep the good work!

KeymasterDrigil,
Thanks for your report. Is this occurring with a Bluetooth, Aux connection, or is this happening with Built-in speakers? What are you listening to, watching when this starts happening?
Please feel free to start a support ticket if you wish.
Thanks,
Dan R.

It happens with Built in Speakers/Headphones in both the Music and Movies configuration. I pretty much always use it to listen to music and sometimes other things like videos with just people talking. Buth yeah, it’s mainly music.
Thanks for the reply!

ParticipantDoes anyone notice that computer wouldn’t sleep because of DPS 2?
In CMD: powercfg -requests I see this:
SYSTEM:
[DRIVER] High Definition Audio Device (HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0290&SUBSYS_103C2295&REV_1000\4&2e980e8a&0&0001)
An audio stream is currently in use.January 19, 2017 at 6:44 am #65089lucienbautista
ParticipantI confirmed it just now. I uninstalled DPS, and my laptop sleeps now. I mean it automatically sleeps now.

KeymasterLucien Bautista,
Thank you for your report. We are aware of an issue where DPS version 2.0 prevents the computer from sleeping properly. Our development team is working to resolve this issue.
Thanks,

ParticipantI have a bit different problem with sleep. When I close lid computer goes to sleep – there are no problems. At least i think so, because there are no fan noice or disk activity, and led flashes as previously (before I installed DPS).
But after sleep I can’t play music or watch youtube – playback just don’t start. But I found that in order to restore playback I just need to quit Bongiovi DPS (from tray icon) and start it again.January 27, 2017 at 4:00 am #65117Dan Rice
KeymasterBirbizas,
Please create a Support ticket or email me directly at drice@bmtdps.com. I’d like to get some more information about your setup to see if we can reproduce the problem.
Thanks,
Dan R.
