Keymasterruslang,
I think the error is from the system XML parser. We are taking a look at the crash report. Does the crash happen when you connect or disconnect from HDMI?

InactiveIn Windows 10 with the current version of DPS, I have a question about notifications. So I go into Notifications & actions on Windows and turn off notifications for DPS, but upon closing the app such as in the case of having to do a system restart, the notifications are turned back on automatically and I have to see the Digital Power Station banner appear stating “Bongiovi DPS is now processing audio…”. Is there no way to permanently disable these banners from appearing after each launch of DPS? Thanks!

ParticipantAgreed. I would like to keep the tray icon but without the notification.

KeymasterI have confirmed this issue. I will put it on the list of things to fix for the next version. Thanks!

Member
You are correct. If the volume was 50% when DPS was quit, it should be 50% when you start again. However, we are now finding some computers are not doing this properly when shutting down and booting the computer. We are looking into the issue now and will have a fix for the next update.
Has this been fixed?
I have uninstalled v2.x because this was really bothersome.

Keymastervukodlak75,
Yes. This problem has been fixed for the next release coming today.

ParticipantThis is horribly intolerable. Every now and then I install version 2 because version 1.24 continuously nags about a new version. V2 doesn’t work and always complains that it isn’t activated and to click the activation tab. THERE IS NO ACTIVATION TAB! Changing settings in 2.0.1.8 does nothing to the sound. 1.24 also ignores and resets the notifications in W10 so there is no way to shut it up either.

ParticipantSo… apparently not compatible or functional when 1.x is installed.

Participant@larsdennert You might have some luck by reading the FAQ.

KeymasterThe activation issue in 2.0 is triggered if/when the demo timer runs out on version 1.2.4. There is a bit of legacy code in 2.0 that is picking up the fact the demo timer ran out (we are fixing that of course). Here’s the easy fix:
1. Uninstall 1.2.4 ans 2.0 using their installers.
2. Go to the ProgramData folder (it is hidden) and delete the Bongiovi Acoustics folder there.
3. Re-install 2.0 and you should have no issues.November 15, 2016 at 5:55 pm #65007zanekeenan1
Participanthi guys. with the latest version 2.0.1.9 I am finding that every time the program opens after boot it starts at 75% volume, regardless of the volume it may have been closed down with. It usually is too loud and i have to rush to turn the volume down. Also the program opens on my taskbar every time after boot. regards zane

Participanthello zanekeenan1!
The 75% volume thing is a known bug and it was said that it will be fixed for the official release of the paid version.
The notification on the taskbar is intentional.
I dislike it too though and already suggested to remove it.
You can completely remove it (even including the icon which I want to keep) by going to start menu -> settings -> system -> notifications & actions. At the bottom you find Bongiovi DPS and turn it off.November 15, 2016 at 8:51 pm #65009Dan Rice
KeymasterZanekeenan1,
Thank you for your report, our engineering team is working on resolving this issue.
There is a workaround to the startup volume bug:
1.) Uncheck Auto-Adjust Volume in DPS Preferences.
2.) Quit out of DPS by right clicking on the DPS “B” icon and selecting Quit.
3.) Right click on your volume icon and select Open Volume Mixer
4.) Set the volume for all of your Devices to 25% (or whatever level you desire)Note – Under Devices, there is a little down arrow icon next to “Speakers.” Make sure to change all of your devices to 25% by selecting them in the dropdown menu.
5.) Sign out, sign back in.
DPS volume should now be at 25%
When you say “Also the program opens on my taskbar every time after boot”, are you refering to the Notification, or are you saying you would prefer for DPS to not startup automatically when you boot your computer? Both of these issues can be solved:
If you want to get rid of the notification message and chimes, go to the Settings -> System -> Notifications area as Hans said.
If you don’t want DPS to start up automatically, type “startup” into your cortana bar, select “See what processes start up automatically…” then highlight DPS and click “Disable.”
Thanks again!
