Participant3 questions on the new 2.0. First, I liked the Annapolis profile for my external speakers. It appears gone? Second, can we download more profiles, and if so how? Third, what is the “Mendoza” speaker profile? Thanks!

MemberWhy does the volume reset to 100% every reboot. this is very annoying

Keymasterwxman123,
Here is a dropbox link with older City Profiles
Drop these profiles into c:Program DataBongiovi AcousticsBuilt-in, External or headphones. The profiles will immediately appear in the proper menu in DPS.
When DPS 2.0 PRO is released, you will be able to download all kinds of custom profiles as well as these alternative City profiles. Current DPS 1.x customers will receive DPS 2.0 PRO for free when it is available. This will be Q1 next year.
vukodlak75,
We understand the automatic volume adjustment will be annoying for some audio setups. Un-check AUTO-ADJUST VOLUME at the bottom of the SETTINGS tab to stop any volume adjustment when DPS launches or quits. Here is how the volume and driver settings work:
- When auto adjust is ON
- When DPS is launched
- Make DPS driver output equal to volume of current default playback device.
- Make current default playback device volume 100%.
- Make DPS default output device.
- When DPS quits
- Make volume of output device currently selected in DPS equal to DPS driver.
- Make said output device default playback device.
- Quit DPS application.
- When DPS is launched
- When auto adjust is OFF
- When DPS is launched
- Make DPS default output device.
- When DPS quits
- Make output device currently selected in DPS the default playback device.
- Quit DPS application.
- When DPS is launched
Please let me know if you have any questions.

MemberWhen DPS quits
Make volume of output device currently selected in DPS equal to DPS driver.
Make said output device default playback device.
Quit DPS application.I’m not sure that the above is happening.
If I read this correctly.
If the DPS driver is at 50% then when quitting it should change the system device to 50% upon quitting correct?

KeymasterYou are correct. If the volume was 50% when DPS was quit, it should be 50% when you start again. However, we are now finding some computers are not doing this properly when shutting down and booting the computer.
We are looking into the issue now and will have a fix for the next update.

MemberOK, thanks for confirming that.
One more thing that I’m noticing. If I decrease the bass or treble it to gets reset after reboot. Maybe for this to stick is a Pro feature?
November 19, 2015 at 6:01 pm #63614xaqmusic
KeymasterActually this should be saved as well. I think we are looking at a wider issue where the user’s preferences are not being saved when the computer is shut down. Basically, the app is quitting before the preferences can be stored.
We’ll get it sorted. Thanks for the feedback!

Keymastermvdvik,
Hello. I have installed DPS 2.0.0.4. When you boot the system resets the stereo to Mono and resets the equalizer! Help!
Are you saying this happens when you start your computer? Howe about when you quit DPS from the System Tray and relaunch? I’d like to be able to re-create your issue so we can fix this problem. Any hints you can give will help a lot.
Also, the only profiles that support some “stereo to mono” features are headphones profiles. That way you can listen to old recordings (with drums on the left and voice on the right) more comfortably. Here are some details:
- Built-In or External Speaker Modes
- If the Stereo Controls are off or the circles in the Stereo Field window are together, the stereo image is normal.
- When Stereo Controls are on and the circles are father apart, the stereo image is “enhanced” so sounds may appear outside the physical width of the 2 stereo speakers.
- Headphones Mode
- If the Stereo Controls are off or the circles in the Stereo Field window are far apart, the stereo image is normal.
- If the Stereo Controls are on and the circles are close together, the left and right channels are partially summed to mono.
If you provide a screenshot or other details we can more easily solve this problem.
ruslang,
Please let us know what you were doing when this crash occurred. Did it happen at launch? When you were connecting a device? We need to re-create the issue.
Thanks!

Yes when you start dps 2,104 x64 – when connected to the playback device nvidia HDMI & Intel HDMI,
the only way to Windows 10 x64, but on windows 10 x86 all normally works,
but the driver itself normally plays, but does not run itself dps.exe
