KeymasterThe menus in PROFILES tab do nothing right now. They will work when we complete the new profile delivery system. The profile format for 2.0 is different from 1.2.x.
We will enter beta testing when all features are complete in DPS 2.0. This includes profile delivery. From beta testing, the Release Candidate will be chosen.

ParticipantThanks for a13!
The taskbar notification ‘dps is on and processing your audio…’ is back again. Can it be turned off while still keeping the icon?
When right-clicking the taskbar icon there’s no tick mark indicating the chosen output device (correct one is used and working though).

MemberOK, a13 up and running here. All’s well so far. Also get the notification on my taskbar, but that was normal behaviour for DPS 1.2.3. Right clicking on the icon and placing the cursor over Output Device also shows no check mark beside the selected output device.

KeymasterNoted. We will take a look at the system tray menu issue.

MemberOne thing I forgot to mention that hasn’t changed is the strange memory usage behaviour. It’s still running up to over 200MB then dropping back down followed by a repeat.

MemberFor some reason, my previous posts are being chopped off at the right hand side of the box. I’ve never seen that before.

KeymasterYep. Its a bug in the Catch Box Pro theme we use. I just updated to the newest version so I have to go in and manually fix the forum replies CSS. It will be fixed soon.
UPDATE: fixed

Keymasterriyaz:
I have confirmed the increase in CPU usage while dropdown menus are open.
I’m sure this is another .NET anomaly. Like the fluctuating memory issue, we are leaving a lot of tasks up to .NET to manage (as per proper procedure). While this ensure further compatibility and stability with Microsoft products, optimization becomes much more fuzzy.
I think we will look at optimization of the code once all features are in place. Then we will have a more clear idea what the total system impact is.

Keymaster
Hey guys,
Sorry for not having a new alpha build for you before a13 expired. We got a lot of priority programming projects this month that we have to complete. These projects are related to the DPS 2.0 software ecosystem but are not related to the Windows app so this work is not generating new builds for you.
We will get a new build up shortly that will not expire for a few months. This will hold us over until these back-end pieces are finished.
Our goal is to have DPS 2.0 released within the first quarter of 2015. So far we are still on track for that.
Thanks for your patience!

MemberI’ve gone back to DPS 1.2.3 for now, as I got the expiry message today. I can’t find the forum log out link. I only see Log In even though I already am.
