Yes, you would still hear a difference.
DPS does dynamically adapt to the sound of the audio given, but it doesn’t make everything sound exactly the same (the strength of the effect also depends on the profile). IIRC that’s intentional to keep the original character of the music. It will bring different files closer together, giving them some kind of sound signature. E.g. a flac file with loud, harsh highs may have them attenuated while a dull mp3 file may sounds brighter with DPS. But they still won’t sound exactly alike.
