We have not seen any major issues with DPS in the commercial release of High Sierra on our testing machines.
We are tracking an issue with an error: “DPS is Installed but is Not Available.” This issue seems to be resolved for most users by simply clicking Try Again.”
Uninstalling DPS, restarting your computer, and then reinstalling DPS has been a solution for issues relating to MacOS upgrades in the past. If you are experiencing issues with audio performance after your upgrade to High Sierra, this might be a good place to start.
Also, it is true that DPS doesn’t always work well when paired with other audio enhancement programs. Often resulting in massive distortion. We generally recommend that DPS be used as a stand alone audio enhancement solution.
